PHILADELPHIA — New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie says the kind of leadership he's bringing to New Jersey can also set the whole nation in the right direction.
Christie spoke to a corporate-sponsored government watchdog organization in Philadelphia today.
Christie told the Committee of Seventy how he's stood up to lawmakers and teachers unions.
He said that as a Republican elected statewide in the Democratic stronghold of New Jersey, he's playing with "house money" and can push for whatever changes he believes are needed. He says all elected officials should have the same attitude.
Christie has said he does not plan to run for president in 2012.
