Cuomo's choice for running mate, Rochester Mayor Robert Duffy, will also accept the party's nomination for lieutenant governor.
The final act of the state Democratic convention leads into the state Conservative Party convention on Friday followed by the Republican convention next week, putting the unusually packed slate of elections this fall into higher gear.
Cuomo will face one of several Republicans candidates, including former congressman Rick Lazio, Suffolk County Executive Steve Levy and Buffalo developer Carl Paladino, who is associated with the GOP's tea party movement.
