ATLANTIC CITY — Atlantic City Mayor Lorenzo Langford is contemplating filing a federal lawsuit against New Jersey over plans to create an independent tourism zone in Atlantic City, according a report by PressofAtlanticCity.com.
Langford plans to challenge the constitutionality of the proposal, which would put the tourism district under the control of the Casino reinvestment Development Authority. Langford chastised both Gov. Chris Christie and the Democrat-controlled legislature for not holding up their ends of the partnership promised when the proposal was announced in June, according to the report.
