HADDON — A state Supreme Court justice ousted by Gov. Chris Christie has landed at a major southern New Jersey law firm.
Westmont-based Brown & Connery announced today that it was adding John Wallace Jr. as counsel to the firm. He is .
Wallace was first made a judge in 1984 and moved to the state's top court in 2003.
Supreme Court judges get seven-year terms and then can receive tenure and serve until they reach the retirement age of 70.
Last year, Christie decided not to renominate the 68-year-old Wallace. It was the first time a judge who had completed an initial term was not reappointed.
State Senate Democrats have refused to consider the nomination of a replacement for Wallace.
