TRENTON — Gov. Chris Christie will meet with the Congressional delegation and attend a trade policy meeting Wednesday morning as part of his trip to Washington, D.C.
Christie is traveling to the nation's capital to speak at the American Enterprise Institute, a conservative think tank. At a press conference today, Christie said he will leave tonight and spend the night in Washington.
In the morning, he will meet with the delegation to discuss an agenda that has been agreed upon by his staff and representatives of the lawmakers.
After the morning meeting, Christie will participate in a meeting of the Advisory Committee for Trade Policy and Negotiations. Christie was appointed to the committee by President Barack Obama in September. He said this will be his first meeting.
After the speech at AEI, Christie said he will return to New Jersey on the train, arriving in the state by about 5:30 p.m.
