TRENTON — The Assembly Budget Committee will take input from the public on Gov. Chris Christie’s proposed budget in three public hearings this month in northern, central and southern New Jersey.
Here’s the schedule released by Assembly Budget Chairman Lou Greenwald (D-Camden).
• Tuesday, March 8 at 9:30am at room 11 of the Statehouse annex in Trenton. This hearing will focus on health, human services, senior, family and children’s Issues.
• Wednesday, March 16 at 9:30am. University Hall Conference Center, Montclair State University, 1 Normal Ave. in Montclair. Focus will be on education, higher education and local government issues.
• Wednesday, March 23 at 9:30 a.m. Camden County College, Blackwood Campus, 311 College Drive. Focus will be on public safety, economic development, transportation, environment, arts, history, cultural issues and any other topics.
“It’s a chance for lively public discussion with citizens directly impacted by the governor’s proposal,” said Greenwald. "We stay all day long and into the night and listen to every idea and opinion.”

The state Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee so far has one public meeting meeting scheduled.

Center at 400 Paramus Road in Paramus.
Another tentative date for a Senate Budget Committee hearing is Tuesday, March 15 at 9:00am, location to be announced.
