TRENTON — Gov. Chris Christie will take his town hall meeting to Woodbridge next week.
Christie will host his ninth town hall meeting of the year on Tuesday at the Woodbridge Community Center beginning at 8:45 a.m.
Christie has taken his message of fiscal discipline and overhauling pension and health care benefits for state employees on the road, at times lambasting lawmakers for not passing his proposals quickly enough. At a town hall in heavily-Republican Hopatcong yesterday, one attendee declared Christie "hot and sexy."
The Woodbridge town hall will take his message to heavily-Democratic Middlesex County, the home of recently-arrested former county Sheriff Joseph Spicuzzo, who, after his arrest on bribery and official misconduct charges on Monday, stepped down as head of the county's Democratic organization, a position he held for 16 years.
Spicuzzo was charged by the state attorney general, an office overseen by Christie. Speaking on WOR radio this morning, Christie touted the arrest as a continuation of his work as U.S. Attorney to fight corruption in the state.
