TRENTON — Today is the filing deadline for anyone who wants to run for the New Jersey Legislature.
All 120 seats of the Senate and Assembly will be on November's ballot.
Both houses are controlled by Democrats.
A handful of lawmakers have announced their retirements after the state's 40 legislative districts were redrawn to reflect the results of the 2010 Census.
Sen. Sean Kean of Wall has decided to run for the Assembly rather than face fellow Republican Sen. Bob Singer in a primary.
Democratic Assembly members Ralph Caputo of Essex and Reed Gusciora of Mercer and Republican Denise Coyle of Somerset were displaced by redistricting. They plan to move so they can run in new districts that look like their current ones.
