TRENTON — Twenty-eight groups will converge this morning on the steps of the Statehouse to voice their opposition to Gov. Chris Christie's environmental policies.
Members of the Sierra Club, Blue Wave NJ and the American Jewish Committee will be among those rallying.
Participants will hear from speakers protesting the governor's decisions on clean energy, global warming and gas drilling issues.
The rally is likely to merge with another taking place at the same time outside the Statehouse in Trenton. That rally is being organized to fight proposed pension and health benefits reform for public workers that the Senate and Assembly will both be considering today.
