Putting politics aside, Gov. Chris Christie is giving a Democratic predecessor credit for helping New Jerseyans save some money.

Christie said recently that New Jerseyans enjoy lower auto insurance rates than they did nearly 10 years ago because of reforms enacted by Jim McGreevey during his tenure as governor.

PolitiFact New Jersey questioned whether McGreevey is largely responsible for the lower auto insurance rates and found that Christie's claim is True.
