If only hair stylists had it as easy as foreclosure consultants when it comes to dealing with the government.

Calling on the governor to sign a bill aimed at protecting homeowners from foreclosure rescue scams, Assemblyman Gary Schaer (D-Passaic) said that "hair stylists are required to undergo more government scrutiny than foreclosure consultants."

PolitiFact New Jersey found that Schaer's right. Barbers need a license, but there are no regulations on the books for foreclosure consultants. We rate the claim True.
