UNION — Gov. Chris Christie returns to the town hall circuit next week after taking a break for the summer.
Christie will host a town hall meeting in Union in Union County on Monday at 3:30 p.m. Doors open at 2:45 p.m.
The governor's town hall meetings have been the scene of some of his most explosive encounters with opponents. He uses the meeting to lambaste the Legislature, push his legislative agenda and get residents who attend them on board with his policies.
Monday's meeting will be held in the town of one of his staunchest political opponents, Assembly Majority Leader Joe Cryan (D-Union). Christie has frequently targeted the hometowns and districts of his opponents, including hosting events in Gloucester where Sen. Stephen Sweeney lives and Woodbridge where Democratic Chairman Assemblyman John Wisniewski lives.
The meeting will be held at the Boys and Girls Club of Union County, 1050 Jeanette Avenue Union 07083.
