Governor has wavered in the past about not seeking higher office, but this time, his claims stayed consistent

Gov. Chris Christie announced today that he would not seek the presidency in 2012.

It should be no surprise — the man's been making that statement for at least the past year.

PolitiFact New Jersey found that Christie has run for higher elected office even after announcing that he wouldn't — from U.S. attorney to governor, for example — but that wasn't the case this time.
