ATLANTIC CITY — Gov. Chris Christie won't say whether he supports an initiative on Mississippi's Nov. 8 ballot that seeks to declare that life begins when a human egg is fertilized.

The initiative is endorsed by GOP gubernatorial candidate Phil Bryant, who Christie will campaign for later in the week.

Christie says that campaigning for Bryant doesn't mean he supports the measure. However, Christie reiterated today that he is against abortion rights.

Christie supported abortion rights earlier in his career. But he says that changed after the birth of his second child.

Christie and Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour are scheduled to appear Thursday at a get-out-the-vote rally for Bryant.
