DiCicco lost to Democratic incumbents John Burzichelli (D-Gloucester) and Celeste Riley (D-Cumberland)
Assemblyman Domenick DiCicco (R-Gloucester) – the only Republican to take over a Democratic seat two years ago – has lost his bid for re-election.
DiCicco lost to Democratic incumbents John Burzichelli (D-Gloucester) and Celeste Riley (D-Cumberland).
Once a top prospect to run for state Senate in the 4th Legislative District, DiCicco suffered a major setback when Democrats won the redistricting process and moved his hometown of Franklin Township from his old district into a more Democratic one, with Senate President Stephen Sweeney (D-Gloucester) at the head of the ticket instead of state Sen. Fred Madden (D-Gloucester).
Instead of running for Senate, DiCicco sought re-election to the Assembly instead.
