TRENTON — Governor Chris Christie told the chairman of the Senate Budget Committee he would have vetoed a proposed bill dividing Teterboro among four neighboring boroughs without working out many of the bill's details, according to a report in NorthJersey.com.
Bills supporting the distribution passed both the Assembly and the Senate’s budget committees in late June, but a vote was put on hold so that Christie and lawmakers could work out controversial measures, including one which give Teterboro property owners a 20-year tax abatement. Christie also told NorthJersey.com the bill was moving too quickly, but he said he has not ruled out the proposal.
