BERGEN COUNTY — A closed-door meeting Monday night called to discuss the future of the Meadowlands region was prefaced by a heated exchange between Sen. Paul Sarlo and Teterboro Mayor John Watt, who said the meeting was actually called to consider the dissolution of Teterboro, according to a report on NorthJersey.com.
Sarlo's chief of staff said the meeting was unrelated to Teterboro, the report said. The topic of the meeting was a proposal to do away with a revenue-sharing among several Meadowlands municipalities. Before the meeting, Sarlo confronted Watt for sending him obscene e-mails, which Watt denied, the report said.
