TRENTON — The Office of Smart Growth, created to coordinate growth in state agencies, will be renamed the Office of Planning Advocacy, and control will be given to Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno, according to a report by NJSpotlight.com.
Guadagno, speaking at Princeton University Friday, said the office's purpose was to prevent regulations from stifling job creation, and that it had failed, according to the report. She said she plans to rebuild the program from the bottom up.
