TRENTON — Some New Jersey businesses are up in arms over Gov. Chris Christie's four-year, $6 million contract with Staples to be the state's provider of office supplies, according to a report on NorthJersey.com.
The contract extends through July 31, 2014.
The decision to switch to the national chain, first made last September by former Gov. Jon Corzine, resulted in 100 employees of New Jersey-based office suppliers to lose their jobs, the report said.
