GREENWICH, Ct. — Gov. Chris Christie's monthlong political tour continues today in Connecticut, where he's campaigning with Republican candidate for governor Tom Foley.

Christie and Foley are scheduled to speak to the press tonight before holding a fundraiser at the Hyatt Regency hotel in the Old Greenwich section of town.

Greenwich is Foley's hometown and leans Republican. It's also within shouting distance of Stamford, where his Democratic opponent Dan Malloy served as mayor for 14 years.

Despite Christie's repeated denials that he's planning a presidential campaign, his cross-country barnstorming has only stoked speculation.

He was in Iowa, a customary stomping grounds for presidential contenders, campaigning with Republican candidate for governor Terry Branstad earlier this month.

CNN reported that Christie is scheduled to appear with real estate mogul Donald Trump and National Republican Senatorial Committee Chairman Sen. John Cornyn at a New York City fundraiser later this month.

And today New Jersey Republican Donald Sico launched a website seeking to draft Christie to run for president.

Sico, who served as chief of staff to two Republican Assembly speakers but no longer has an official role in the party, said Christie is best suited for the Oval Office.

"The problems in Washington are far more urgent," he said. "And I don't see anyone else there that could do the job that Christie could."

The clock is ticking though, Sico said.

"If we don't convince Gov. Christie to run for president by this time next year, I think it will be too late. By that point other candidates will be too far ahead."

Christie has said he's not seeking national office.

"I've made myself really clear on my position about that," he said during his Iowa stop. "I'm governor of New Jersey. I'm not going to run for national office."
