CAPE MAY COUNTY — Gov. Chris Christie has renominated Robert Taylor for another five-year term as Cape May County prosecutor.
Taylor initially was named to the post by former Gov. Jim McGreevey in 2004 and was first reappointed by then-Gov. Jon Corzine in December 2009.
But Taylor's scheduled confirmation hearing before the state senate in January was postponed after some critics raised questions about his tenure in office.
However, the Stone Harbor resident has remained in the post in a holdover capacity while those concerns were debated.
A new hearing date for Taylor's appointment has not yet been scheduled.
