Local primary elections are taking place today throughout New Jersey counties. Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. in every town. Local primary elections are taking place today throughout New Jersey counties.

Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. in every town.


Middlesex County

• The only local contested races are: New Brunswick Mayor (Democratic nomination); New Brunswick City Council (Democratic nominations)

• Poll sites: Voters can find out their polling place by checking their sample ballot, or by calling the county board of elections.

• Problems: Any voting problems or questions should be directed to the Middlesex County Board of Elections at (732) 745-3471.

• Results online: Check for election results tonight, after the polls close, at www.nj.com/middlesex

Somerset and Hunterdon counties

• The contested races in Somerset County are:

• Manville Borough Council (Republican nominations)

• Watchung Mayor (Republican nomination)

• Hunterdon County Sheriff (Republican nomination)

• Alexandria Township Committee (Republican nomination)
