JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — Gov. Chris Christie will be headlining an annual fundraising event for the Missouri Republican Party.
Christie is to be the keynote speaker Sept. 26 for the state Republican Party's annual "Spirit of Enterprise Award Dinner" in St. Louis County. The event is typically the state party's largest fundraiser of the year.
An invitation obtained by The Associated Press says Christie will be presenting the party's annual enterprise award to Douglas Albrecht. Albrecht is chairman of the St. Louis-based Bodley Group, which acquires and invests in niche-market businesses.
The Missouri Republican Party confirmed that Christie will be at the event.
The following day Christie will speak at the Ronald Reagan Library in Simi Valley, Calif.
